Burns

Of every trade's creator fee, 40% buys back the coin, 40% buys back $FAIRBURN and 20% runs Fairburn. Every token bought goes to 0x…dEaD, where nobody can move it. Here is each buyback, with its receipt.

The platform token is not set yet. Until it is, the $FAIRBURN share of every coin's fees waits in that coin's burner.

When does a burn come?

  1. Fees collect. 80% of every trade's creator fee reaches the coin's burner, half in each bucket: one buys back the coin, the other buys $FAIRBURN. The other 20% runs Fairburn.
  2. A burn every 20 to 30 minutes. Each coin burns at a moment 20 to 30 minutes after its last burn (after its launch, the first time), drawn at random, so nobody can time it. A bucket burns once it holds at least $2 of USDG.
  3. The whole bucket at once. Nothing caps a burn: everything collected buys back the coin and $FAIRBURN in one go, however much it moves the price. A coin quoted in a stock, ETH or cbBTC buys through that pair's pool, in a few pieces when its bucket is more than the pool takes at once.
  4. Sometimes a burn waits. While burns are paused, while a stock pair's market is closed, while the curve moves to its pool at graduation, and, for its $FAIRBURN share, until the platform token is set. All the rules.
  5. Every token bought goes to 0x…dEaD. Each burn is a buy on the coin's (or $FAIRBURN's) market; its transaction is the receipt. A coin's page shows what is collected for its next burn and when it comes.

Each buyback is itself a trade made here, so it pays Pons's 1% and the 0.25% app fee, which goes to the treasury; USDG spent includes both. Amounts are from the burner contracts' own receipts; they say nothing about where the price goes.
